Network printer setup from $40 · On-site across Ottawa · Clinics and offices

Office printing breaks in predictable ways: a printer that keeps vanishing because its address changes, scan-to-email that stopped working when the email system changed, new staff whose computers can't find the printer, and one machine that prints everything to the wrong tray.

We set office printers and multifunction copiers up properly on the network, so every workstation can print, scanning goes where it should, and it keeps working after updates and new hires.

What we handle

What We Set Up and Fix

Shared network printing

Printers and copiers on a fixed network address, installed on every workstation with the right driver and default settings.

Scan-to-email

Set up to send through Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace securely, including fixing scanners that broke when older sign-in methods were switched off.

Scan-to-folder

Scans saved straight into the right shared folder, with permissions so only the right staff can open them.

Printer keeps going offline

Usually a changing IP address, sleep settings or a duplicate printer entry. Fixed at the network level so it stays fixed.

Label and receipt printers

Dymo, Zebra and Brother label printers and receipt printers connected to the software that uses them.

New staff and new workstations

Printers added to new computers with the same settings as everyone else.

Medical and dental offices

Printer Setup for Medical and Dental Clinics

Clinics print all day: requisitions, prescriptions, labels and patient handouts, usually from the clinic's EMR. We set up printers and trays so the EMR prints to the right device every time, connect label printers at each station, and set scanning so documents go to a secured location rather than a shared inbox.

Privacy matters with patient information, so we place and configure printers with that in mind: printers in staff-only areas where possible, scans kept off shared folders that others can browse, and guest Wi-Fi kept away from the network the printers are on. We do this work for a multi-location Ottawa clinic group, so it's routine for us.

Small businesses

Printer Setup for Small Offices and Shops

For small offices, the goal is simple: one or two printers everyone can use, scanning that works, and no calls when someone new starts. We set up shared printing and scanning, connect the printer to your office Wi-Fi or network properly, and document the settings so it's easy to add the next person.

For shops and restaurants, we connect receipt and label printers to the systems that use them and keep them on the business network, separate from guest Wi-Fi.

Common questions

Office Printer Setup FAQs

Why did scan-to-email stop working on our office copier?

Often because Microsoft 365 or Google switched off the older sign-in method the copier used. We reconfigure it to send securely through your current email system, or switch it to scan-to-folder if that suits you better.

Why does our network printer keep going offline?

Usually its network address keeps changing, or computers have it installed twice. We give it a fixed address and re-add it cleanly on each workstation.

Can you set up printers for our medical clinic?

Yes: printers and trays for your EMR, label printers at each station, and scanning saved to a secured location, with patient privacy in mind.

Do you repair printers?

We set up and troubleshoot printers and copiers, including network, driver and scanning problems. We don't do internal hardware repairs; we'll tell you if it's a hardware fault.

Can you set up a printer for staff working from home?

Yes, either a local printer on their home network or secure access to office scanning and files.
