Remote from $25 · Desk setups from $40 · Windows, Mac and docks

Two screens make working from home far easier, until one goes blank. The cause is usually the cable or port, a dock that needs a firmware or driver update, or display settings that changed after a Windows or macOS update.

We fix existing setups and plan new ones: the right cables and adapters for your laptop's ports, a dock that actually supports two monitors, and the display settings arranged so your mouse moves between screens the way you expect.

What we handle

Monitor and Dock Problems We Fix

Second monitor not detected

Windows 11 or macOS doesn't see the screen. Often a cable, the wrong input on the monitor, or a port that doesn't carry video.

Docking station not working

Dell, Lenovo ThinkPad and HP docks that stopped showing monitors or charging, usually fixed with dock firmware and drivers.

USB-C to monitor not working

Not every USB-C port carries video. We check what your laptop's ports support and pick the right cable or adapter.

Blurry, wrong size or wrong refresh rate

Resolution, scaling and refresh rate set so text is sharp and screens line up.

MacBook with two monitors

Many MacBook Air models drive only one external monitor natively. We explain what yours supports and the options.

New desk or office setup

Monitors, dock, keyboard, mouse, webcam and headset set up and tested together.

Try this first

Second Monitor Not Detected on Windows 11?

Check the monitor is on the right input, try a different cable, and reconnect it. Then press Windows + P and choose Extend, or open Settings, System, Display, Multiple displays and select Detect.

If it's connected through a dock, unplug the dock's power for a minute, then update its firmware and drivers from the laptop maker's support site; DisplayLink docks also need their own driver. If none of that works, the port, cable or dock may not support the monitor's resolution, which we can confirm.

Common questions

Dual Monitors & Docks FAQs

Why is my second monitor not detected?

Most often the monitor is on the wrong input, the cable or port doesn't carry video, or Windows needs to detect it again (Windows + P, then Extend). Through a dock, firmware and drivers are the usual fix.

Why did my docking station stop working?

Usually after a Windows or BIOS update. Updating the dock's firmware and drivers from Dell, Lenovo or HP, and power-cycling the dock, fixes most cases. DisplayLink docks need their own driver too.

Can my MacBook run two external monitors?

It depends on the chip. Many MacBook Air models run one external monitor natively, while MacBook Pro models with Pro or Max chips run two or more. We'll tell you what yours supports and the options.

Can you set up my home office?

Yes: monitors, dock, webcam, headset, printer and Wi-Fi set up and tested together, at home or in the office.
