Parental Controls Set Up Properly, on Every Device

Phones, tablets, consoles, games and the home Wi-Fi each have their own controls. We set them up together, explain them to you, and make sure the gaps kids find are closed.

In-home or remote · Every device in one visit · Explained in plain English

Most parents set up controls on one device, then discover the tablet, the console and the game itself each have separate settings, and that a factory reset, a second account or a different browser gets around half of them.

We set up a consistent plan across everything your children use: screen-time limits, app and purchase approvals, age-appropriate content, who they can chat with, and Wi-Fi schedules at home. Then we show you how to adjust it as they get older.

What we handle

What We Set Up

iPhone and iPad

Screen Time and Family Sharing: app limits, downtime, content ratings, Ask to Buy, and a passcode your child doesn't know.

Android phones and tablets

Google Family Link: app approvals, daily limits, bedtime, location and Play Store controls.

PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch

Family accounts, play-time limits, spending limits, age ratings and online chat settings on each console.

Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft

In-game parental controls: chat, spending, friend requests and age-appropriate experiences, linked to a parent account where the game supports it.

TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube

Family Pairing, Snapchat Family Center and supervised YouTube, set up and explained.

Home Wi-Fi schedules and filtering

Bedtime and homework schedules, pause buttons and content filtering on your router or mesh app, per child.

Closing the gaps

How Kids Get Around Parental Controls (and What We Do About It)

The common workarounds are a parent passcode they've seen, a second account or guest profile, a different browser, changing the device's time zone, or simply using another device in the house. We set unique parent passcodes, remove or restrict guest access, block unapproved browsers where possible, and back device controls up with Wi-Fi schedules so the house itself has a bedtime.

No setup is perfect, and older kids will test it. The aim is controls that match your family's rules, that you understand, and that you can adjust yourself without calling us every time.

Common questions

Parental Controls FAQs

How do I set up parental controls on an iPhone?

Through Screen Time, ideally with Family Sharing so you manage it from your own iPhone. Set a Screen Time passcode your child doesn't know, then add downtime, app limits, content restrictions and Ask to Buy.

Can I control Wi-Fi times for each child?

Usually, yes. Most mesh systems and many provider apps let you group devices by person and set bedtime schedules or pause the internet. We set it up and show you the app.

Does Snapchat have parental controls?

Yes, Family Center. It shows a parent who their teen is talking to and lets them report concerns, but not message contents. We set it up and explain what it does and doesn't show.

My child turned off parental controls. How?

Usually with a passcode they'd seen, a second account, or another device. We reset the parent passcodes, close the extra accounts and add Wi-Fi schedules as a backstop.

Can you set up controls on Roblox and Fortnite?

Yes. Both have parental controls for chat, spending and content, and Roblox lets a parent account manage a child's settings. We set them up alongside the console or device controls.
